  • Immigration
  • Housing
  • Social support
  • Emotional support
  • Health and welfare rights

We also provide culturally relevant information on HIV.

Ethos of the service provision
We are committed towards working to reduce the spread of HIV, poverty and inequality in African communities in the UK, but primarily at local level. The activity levels are still on the increase and this justifies the scale of need for advocacy and advice services for African communities in the areas mentioned above.

Clients are empowered to self-advocate on minor issues and get to know their rights to legal entitlements as disabled people. This in turn leads to maximising personal independence, reducing incidences of social isolation and prevents of escalation of need.

Clients are also able to make informed choices through provision of accurate information, advice and advocacy.

We aim to help clients maximise claims from social welfare benefits. This alleviates financial stress and supports positive living, enabling for example, the client to improve their diet.
